Here is the second video over the biosphere. Please watch and leave a comment. I believe I set it up so you just put your name and email (ginorthwest.org). Again you can watch it on youtube or movenote. Let me know if you have any issues.

Food web is more complex than a simple food chain.
Biomass is the amount of living tissue in a level
The difference between a food chain and a food web is a food chain is a smaller variety of animals and a web is a lot bigger group of animals eating each other for energy.
A food chain always starts with a producer
A food chain starts with a producer
There are food webs, food chains, and food pyramids, in each 10% of the energy goes to the consumer and it keeps getting smaller and smaller til none is left
The food chain is a series of stops showing how energy is transferred from animal to animal through consumption
There is four types of heterotrophs they are herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, and detritivores.
There are 4 types of heterotrophs
1. Herbivores
2. Carnivores
3. Omnivores
4. Detritivores
Matter isn’t created or destroyed it is transformed

Food webs show how energy is used up, biogeochemical cycles show how matter is transformed.
The energy pyramid has no limit on number of organisms although only around 10% make it to the next level
Buiomass is the total amount of living tissue in a level
The food chain always begins with plants and from there 10% of the total energy is passed up to the next level of the food chain. Riley Glause

Matter is never created, it is transformed
Food chains that are connected are called food webs

Transpiration is the evaporation of water from the leaves of plants.

Phosphorus is in your RNA, DNA, and ATP.
Food chain is a series of stops which a organism transfers energy by eating stuff or being eaten.
Less than 1% of carbon actually circulates the biosphere.

Reblogged this on abc of biology and commented:
Nice article about Biosphere
Test to see if this works.
Conversation of matter is never created or destroyed, it’s only transformed in forms.
In the food pyramid only 10% of the kilocalories is passed to the next level.
