Here is the second video over the biosphere. Please watch and leave a comment. I believe I set it up so you just put your name and email (ginorthwest.org). Again you can watch it on youtube or movenote. Let me know if you have any issues.

  1. The difference between a food chain and a food web is a food chain is a smaller variety of animals and a web is a lot bigger group of animals eating each other for energy.

  2. There are food webs, food chains, and food pyramids, in each 10% of the energy goes to the consumer and it keeps getting smaller and smaller til none is left

  3. The food chain is a series of stops showing how energy is transferred from animal to animal through consumption

  4. There is four types of heterotrophs they are herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, and detritivores.

  7. Food webs show how energy is used up, biogeochemical cycles show how matter is transformed.

  8. The food chain always begins with plants and from there 10% of the total energy is passed up to the next level of the food chain. Riley Glause

  9. Biomass is the amount of living tissue in a level usually represented in grams of organic matter per unit area
