Last weekend we had our family reunion in South Dakota near Mount Rushmore. It was a great weekend filled with lots of visiting and sight seeing. On Friday we went to see Mount Rushmore during the day, later we went back at night to see the lighting ceremony, which was really cool. Saturday we went to Wind Caves, which is a really unique cave with lots of box work and then to Sylvan Lake to walk around. On Sunday we went to Mass in Hill City and then Kathy and I went to a Dinosaur Museum, in fact the Black Hills Institute Museum, while the other people in our family did other things. The Museum was really neat. While it wasn’t huge there were tons of fossils. On our last full day in South Dakota we went to the Needles and Custer State Park. My nieces and nephews had fun climbing at the Needles and we all really enjoyed seeing the bison, antelope, prairie dogs and wild donkeys. All in all it was a great time South Dakota.
