This week in 7th grade life science we’re learning about heredity and the passing on of traits from parents to offspring. To help show the probability of these events the 7th graders flipped a coin to decide what kind of female monster they would have and then mated it with a predetermined male monster. They then had to make punnett squares to determine their likely offspring. Finally we drew them and hung them around the room. I only latter saw the connection to Halloween… after another teacher pointed it out to me.
