This week in class

Hello, I’ve decided to try and do a weekly post for the events in my classroom. I enjoy sharing things but have not done that for a while so I hope that this makes me think about taking pictures more in class and letting everyone know what we’re doing. This was an interesting week, it started with two “snow” days because of an ice storm. On Tuesday night my wife, Megan, and I went to a Lumineers concert. That was really fun but it ended pretty late and didn’t give me that much sleep. Originally I had a nice day planed for Wednesday but with the “snow” days that got pushed back and didn’t work out as well as I had hoped. Another cool thing this week was when the 7th graders got to see and feel some pelts of Nebraska mammals. We’ve been learning about animals in general for the last chapter and we’ve talked about lots of animals that don’t live in Nebraska so it was good to see and talk about some animals that we might actually see regularly. We also looked at some of their tracks and scat. Overall I think it was very good and hopefully it sparked an interest in some of them. Another cool event was Thursday morning when we went to Mass. The weather was misty/foggy and made the walk to Mass look very neat. Overall it was a pretty fun week.
